During your internship at KARIM ÚVN Praha, you will gradually become acquainted with intensive care in our ICUs, anesthesia in the operating theatre and urgent medicine in the emergency department.
The focus of the "emergency" training takes place at the KARIM simulation center. Here you will become familiar with the various practical skills performed daily in the emergency department (venous, arterial cannulation, alternative approaches to the vascular system, intraosseous cannulation, airway management, AED and defibrillator, use of fracture fixation devices etc...). Once the necessary "skill stations" have been completed, you will be able to use the practical knowledge in a simulated clinical scenario on one of our dummy patients (we use the whole-body hi-tech simulators ResusciAnne and SimMan3G).
