Colon cancer screening center in Military University Hospital Prague is part of National Colon Cancer Screening Network in the Czech Republic.

We provide primary (screening) colonoscopies and specialized therapeutic interventions (endoscopic polypectomy, endoscopic mucosal resection and endoscopic submucosal dissection).

Our high-volume CRC screening center meets all quality criteria including adequate personnel, materials and equipment, the recommended annual volume of colonoscopies and endoscopic polypectomies, quality control system, and a plan for the management of complications.

The prevention of colorectal cancer in the Czech Republic currently consists in two types of physical examination: faecal occult blood test (FOBT) and screening colonoscopy. FOBT is offered annually at age 50-54 and biennially from age 55. Screening colonoscopy is available from age 50 and is repeated every 10 years.
