Introduction:
The main purpose of the department is to provide preventive medical care for soldiers and their family members, civilian employees of the military administration and the Ministry of Interior, patients of the district Prague 6 and other patients upon a recommendation.
Outpatient department consists of three general dermatological clinic, head physician's department, department of physical therapy and cosmetic care, corrective dermatology and specialized counseling.
We provide treatments of the entire spectrum of dermatological and venereal diseases. The ward's capacity is 24 beds including 3 single superior rooms.
Since 2008 there is a specialized center for patients with severe psoriasis available. Some treatments within that center take's the form of short-term-care or hospitalization.
Furthermore, our department provides medical emergency for the Hospital's needs (consultant examination), emergency or for ambulatory patients from 4.45pm to 7pm during weekdays from 8am to 1pm on weekends and public holidays.
We also provide consulting services to soldiers, participate in assessing the health status of army applicants.

The Outpatient Department provides medical care for a wide range of chronic skin and venereal diseases which in its scope or course of treatment required in bed. Furthermore, we provide dispensary treatments of skin cancers and genital diseases and consulting services.

We provide emergency medical services from 4.45pm to 7pm on weekdays and from 8am to 1pm on weekends and holidays.
Counseling:
All procedures and treatments at the specialized clinics, outpatient clinics, or in the surgical rooms are performed after previous examinations only.
Clinical Counseling - Head Physician Jaroslav Hoffmann, M.D.
This clinic deals with the unclear cases, decisions of further treatments, including dispensary care. It also operates as a clinic for a pigmented lesion (melanoma commission).
Counselling for treatments of chronic wounds - Bohumila Konečná, M.D.
This clinic provides a dispensary care and treatments to patients with venous leg ulcers. It also includes patients' care education and provides home-care. Selected patients are treated by a nurse specialist (providing consulting for chronic wound treating and healing).
Cosmetology Counselling - Jana Asterová, M.D.
We provide consulting services to help diagnose skin type and the correct procedure for treating problematic skin, small dermatological procedures (removal of fibromas or warts, sclerotherapy & chemical peeling). By using the IPL machine the center provides rejuvenation treatments (removal of hairs, pigmentation removal). All of the provided procedures are directly paid by patients.
Beauty Center
We provide treatments like beauty massages, skin cleansing, treating skin problems (acne), biolamp application, laser procedures (for acne and scar treating), soft vacuum diamond dermabrasion, cosmetic lymphatic drainage, UV rays application (tan procedure) - all operated by nurse specialists. All of these provided procedures are directly paid by patients.
Center of Physical Therapy
The center mainly provides the photo-therapy treatments of nail psoriasis, acne, atopic dermatitis, etc. (some therapies are operated by ultrasound or the Bucky rays). The therapy procedures are paid directly patients or covered by the insurance.
Corrective Dermatology
We perform surgeries like removal of benign and malignant skin tumors, nevi, skin samples for histological examination. In addition we provide all nail treatments.
We are focused on the diagnosis and treatment, rehabilitation and assessment of extensive chronic skin and acute genital diseases within a short-term hospitalization. Since 2008 the ward also provides the center for biologics evaluation of patients with severe psoriasis. The average duration of a hospitalization is two weeks. The total capacity of this department is 24 beds.
